While in the process of obtaining his formal education, Blake learned first hand customer service skills through Convergys. Convergys is a large call center here in Cedar City which focused on AT&T. He worked at Convergys (AT&T cell phones was the project) for 3 1/2 years, quickly demonstrating his ability to work hard and meet and exceed expectations. Within 6 months he was mentoring and assisting new hire agents. Within a year taking escalated calls (customers who wanted to speak with a supervisor). Within 2 years he became part of a 3 person critical care specialty team to investigate and stop fraud and abuse against the company. He quickly found himself in the role of Team Leader, managing an average of 20 direct reports, attending meetings with AT&T senior executives and creating innovative solutions to assist the company further their ROI. Blake soon found the job of Team Leader to be too much time and stress to handle while at the same time a full time student, he worked with Convergys to scale back on his work load but ultimately had to tender his resignation and focus on his formal education as his number one priority.
Blake is a member of the Utah Apartment Association and regularly attends conferences and training’s to keep up with the latest in technology and the law’s associated with property management and housing.
